cast an xml element to XmlObject (an xmlbeans object)



I am wondering why I have this error:


Exception in thread "main" java.lang.ClassCastException: com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.dom.DeferredElementImpl cannot be cast to org.apache.xmlbeans.XmlObject at mysql.Main.main(Main.java:80)


I thought every xml object can be cast to an XmlObject ... what do I miss here? Thanks!
