Visio 2013 vdx file compatibility issue



i have a program which creates a .vdx file which was opening in 2010 but when i was opening it in 2013, the page was blank. Normally it supposed to open in compatibility mode. When i removed following lines from vdx file it is now opening in 2013 properly in compatibility mode. The problem is that i could not understood the effect of these lines in the vdx file, can someone help me to understand why it was not working before removing this lines.
