I was trying to get the XML file from a local directory on my machine which worked perfectly with this code
function loadXMLDoc()
{
var request;
if (window.XMLHttpRequest) {
request = new XMLHttpRequest();
}
else {
request = new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP");
}
request.open('GET','simple.xml', true);
request.onreadystatechange = function() {
if ((request.readyState===4) && (request.status===200)) {
However, when I decide to upload the XML file to google drive for example using the below code, I dont get the desirable output:
function loadXMLDoc()
{
var request;
if (window.XMLHttpRequest) {
request = new XMLHttpRequest();
}
else {
request = new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP");
}
request.open('GET','http://ift.tt/1nd5MHQ', true);
request.onreadystatechange = function() {
if ((request.readyState===4) && (request.status===200)) {
