xslt sort columns by user input

i'm learning xml

now i have a xslt that represents my xml in a browser. I want to sort the columsn of a table on user input.

So if the user clicks on a button sort by name the names should be sorted, if user clicks on sorty by date it should be sorted by date,

In which way is this possible? thanks
