What is a good XML easy to read and write in code formt

I started to pick up XML but I am new to the formatting. My goal is to create a vb tool using the xml file as a small databse. How should I build the XML ( Easy to Write and Read for me with VB ? )

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<Config>
<Firefox rating="0">www</Firefox>

<Query name="Firefox" rating="0" link="www">

<Firefox>
    <Name>Firefox</Name>
    <link>www</link>
    <rating>0</rating>
</Firefox>  

</Config> 

What way should I go ? Also I would apprciate some tipps for XML formatting etc. Thanks :)
