Jquery : innerHTML tag not supporting in iE8

• innerHtml was working fine in google chrome, firefox but issue is that in iE8 its not taking the value, its showing undefined. How cani fix this issue in iE8.

  Is there any other tag which will work similar to that of innerHTML tag which is below.

  
  

  $(element).find('departure-date-time')[0].innerHTML;

  
  

Please give solution for me !!!!!!!
