XML : Newline and =0D to excel in java

When I write the below string into an excel cell using Java, I am not getting a new line instead I get that as .

Output:

  1. Team Leader for Project Eagle
  2. Chairman: Finance Sports and Recreation Committee

Expected output:

  1. Team Leader for Project Eagle
  2. Chairman: Finance Sports and Recreation Committee

How to convert this into a newline in output excel?
