XML : Do xml selectors states 'AND' between one another?

Imagine I had an xml resource like this one:

  <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>    <selector xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android">        <item android:drawable="@drawable/one"              android:state_pressed="true" android:state_focused="true"/>        <item android:drawable="@color/transparent"/>    </selector>     

Would the first drawable be shown when any of the two states is reached or when both states are? I couldn't find the answer in the docs, or anywhere in that matter.
